Special Projects
Staff Description
The Special Projects Staff is a non-deliberating staff in charge of specific organizational events, projects, and other ventures. The staff strives to maintain quality, efficiency, and success in all their projects. These events include, but are not limited to book launchings, poetry readings, seminars, fund-raising activities, and outreach workshops.
Since the focus shifts per-activity/project, the SP Staff has a wholistic view of the said event: from creative planning, production, marketing, promotion, manpower, wrap-up, and evaluation, the SP staff is in charge of making things work out smoothly.
Manager's Duties
The Special Projects Managers oversee the implementation of all the Special Projects events. They are also in charge of disseminating information to the staff, and calling staff meetings whenever necessary.
Members' Duties
The members of the SP Staff must possess the necessary skills for the organization, promotion, and execution of events. SP staffers are expected to possess a fair amount of creativity, resourcefulness, leadership qualities and public relations skills. They must also be competent in the field of literature and criticism, as it is necessary to understand the artistic aspect of their production work.
Staffers are expected to attend all of the Heights events, as well as the staff-related activities. Each staffer is given the chance to become one of the Project Heads of an event and is expected to take responsibility for the success of said event.
Upcoming Activities
Some of the staff's upcoming activities include Open Mics, Book Launches, and Outreach Workshops.
